Aesthetically Enhanced Zirconia Restorations

Date: 03 February 2026
Lecture: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Venue: Medtronicam Office, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Synopsis
CAD/CAM zirconia restorations are increasingly prescribed with increasing adoption of digital workflows. Monolithic zirconia restorations require customization to match the natural teeth, typically achieved through staining or porcelain micro-stratification, and in some cases, a combination of both techniques, especially in the anterior aesthetic zone.
Vintage ZR micro-fine layering porcelain is specifically designed for easy build-up on CAD/CAM zirconia frames, closely mimicking the translucency and opalescence of natural enamel. This makes it the ideal choice for micro-stratification of zirconia restorations. Additionally, the Vintage Art Universal stain system, with its “true colour” liquid, allows for visualization of the final result without firing, minimizing errors and simplifying the staining protocol for highly aesthetic CAD/CAM restorations.
Explore the aesthetic possibilities of CAD/CAM restorations using staining and micro-layering to enhance the quality of monolithic restorations that meet both aesthetic and functional needs.
Learning Objectives:
– An understanding of dental colour to achieve true shade match
– Creating life-like surface textures and anatomical contouring
– Steps by Step guide to layering Vintage ZR porcelain with emphasis on calibration of enamel thickness and micro -layering
– Insights to 2D and 3D staining with Vintage Art Universal Stains
Workshop Tasks:
– Learn how to master micro- layering with Vintage ZR porcelain on anterior crowns
– Step by step guide to 3D Staining with Vintage Art Universal Stains on monolithic Posterior restorations
