Optimizing Efficiency Through Smarter PFM Workflows

Date: 30 July 2026
Lecture: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
Venue: The Star Pacific Hotel in Sylhet

Synopsis
Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) restorations are routinely prescribed to patients, as predictable and economical options that meet their aesthetic and functional needs. Dental ceramists require proper planning, technical skills and a thorough understanding of metal-ceramics to be able to fabricate life-like PFM restorations and replicate the details of natural anatomy. The use of predictable methods and proven ceramic systems further minimize the risk of failure during production, elevate the quality of work, increase productivity and efficiency in daily workflow, leading to greater profit for the lab.

Layering metal-ceramic porcelain system such as Vintage Pro feature micro-fine particle structure and a stable formulation that impart natural optical characteristics, colour stability, excellent handling, higher fracture resistance and long-term functional durability, for consistent and reliable outcomes.

Achieving life-like restorations requires a deep understanding of natural tooth colour variations and changes observed with age. This hands-on workshop guides technicians through a systematic multilayer build-up technique designed for simple to complex cases.

The hands-on experience with Vintage Pro porcelain system will bridge material knowledge with practical, everyday skills. The workshop provide also practical insights for technicians who routinely work within the constraints of limited preparation space.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

– Essence of metal-ceramic restorations- from framework to layering
-Importance of Colour, Translucency & Opalescence
-Predictable layering techniques in simple to complex cases
-The art of staining for life-like effects and shade nuances
-Impact of surface texture on final aesthetic outcome
