Date: 21 March 2026
Lecture: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Venue: FRONTIER DENTAL INSTITUTE, 6TH FLR FORTRESS CORPORATE CENTER, MAKATI CITY
Synopsis
Take your 3D-printed restorations beyond the “flat print” and create truly natural aesthetics. This hands-on workshop focuses on transforming 3D-printed crowns from flat, monochromatic prints into natural, highly aesthetic restorations. Designed for dental professionals working with digital workflows, the program emphasizes practical finishing strategies for achieving predictable, long-lasting results in permanent 3D-printed restorations.
Participants will actively perform staining and polishing procedures on 3D-printed crowns, following step-by-step protocols to enhance colour depth, translucency, and surface texture. The workshop also reviews finishing protocols for both temporary and permanent crowns, highlighting material-specific considerations with a key focus on permanent crowns, for predictable, long-lasting outcomes.
In addition, a live demonstration on gingival characterization will showcase how indirect composites, Ceramage Gum and Shofu Lite Art can be used to create lifelike aesthetics through strategic layering and contouring. This segment offers valuable visual insight into advanced gingival artistry, without hands-on participation.
Whether you are new to 3D printing or looking to refine your finishing techniques, this session delivers practical skills, aesthetic confidence, and immediately applicable tips to help you transform printed restorations into life-like, clinically reliable restorations.
Learning Objectives:
– Understand the workflow differences between 3D printed temporary and permanent restorations, including material selection and finishing requirements
– Experience a predictable approach to individual characterization and polishing technique for 3D printed permanent restorations
– Select and apply stains to mimic natural tooth aesthetics with curing, glazing, and finishing techniques
– Observe gingival characterization techniques through live demonstration
